WebWe also lose about 75% of Paulie’s dialogue without it, which is a shame for obvious reasons. Overall, this new cut was fine but unnecessary. The original is a great time capsule for the era and a lot of fun. The director’s cut tries to present the story in a more modern, serious tone and thus loses a lot of the flavor Rocky IV is known for.
