WebAny reason to not cover basement ceiling with plastic? Unfinished, dusty, dirty basement, original flooring in 2 first floor rooms with some gaps where you can see into the basement. I'm wondering if it's ok to put plastic sheeting over basement joists? In an effort to keep basement dust, smells, etc. from working up onto first floor.
